Journaling new plants
Spring:
Maple tree: opposite branching, starts growing the little seed packets in early spring
- Catherine and i looked at them on Ruth street
Henbit: mint family, leaves circle around the stem, little purple flowers
- catherine told me it is the same as dead nettle at NKCDC yesterday
- Plant of the week with Wild Foodies, its actually distinct, edible, medicinal
Beach Trees: hold leaves through the winter, smooth grey bark
- Lizzy showed them to us over pesach
Birch: Yellow and Paper birch.
